Professional organizer Linda
Koopersmith shows how a stationery store
can become a one-stop shopping trip.
You can save money by purchasing items
such as single pieces of stationery
instead of the bulk pack for those times
when just a few sheets are needed.
Most people think a print store should
handle their needs, but a stationery store
can handle most any print job. Business
cards, letterhead, personalized playing
cards, gift boxes, printed napkins and
especially personalized stationery are all
available here, plus the service at a
smaller store is usually better than at a
larger one.
Unique items such as decorative paper
plates, napkins, gift bags with matching
tissue, noisemakers, doilies and
noisemakers are all available at a
stationery store, so save yourself that
trip to the party store for these items.
An incredible selection of invitations is
also at your fingertips.
Save two more trips--to the craft store
and the photo-supply store--by shopping at
a stationery store. You can find
scrapbooks, photo albums, glitter gel,
fabric paints, stamps and even mounting
squares, which can be hard to find
anywhere else.
While you're at it, don't bother dropping
by the office-supply store. Stationery
stores have a wide selection of pens,
pencils and children's art supplies. The
best thing about shopping here, too, is
not having to buy in bulk. It's very easy
to buy just the amount needed.
Gift items such as picture frames, bath
items, vases and stuffed animals are
readily available. Plus, if the item needs
to be shipped, stationery stores carry
labels, tape, bubble wrap and other
shipping necessities. They may even ship
it for you!
