Organizing Your Home

Professional organizer Linda Koopersmith shares ideas on how to create space in a small home for an office.
Uses for a Small Office Caddy

Bills Section--File bank statements, credit-card receipts and deposit receipts.

Mail-In Folder--A file for responding to mail, like sending in auto insurance.

Pending File--File party invitations, theater tickets or store credit coupons.

Tax Receipts--File these receipts as you receive them.

To-Read File--This should contain mail that needs to be sorted or items such as an article from a magazine.
Office Organization Tip

Keep a file box on the side of the desk, if you don't have a file cabinet or caddy. You can use the same filing system with tabs.
